Abstract: Through a questionnaire survey on the religious beliefs of college students in a frontier ethnic minority region, it can be
seen that the channels to get in contact with religions have been expanded, the number of religious students has increased, and their
understanding of religions is still vague. This affects the education development in frontier ethnic colleges and universities on the one
hand, and the personal development of college students on the other hand. In order to cope with these changes and impacts, we should
address both the symptoms and root causes of problems. That is, we should not only strengthen the education of Marxism in colleges
and universities and provide elective courses and special lectures related to religions, but also strengthen the education of Marxism in
rural areas and cities. Only in this way could we promote the ideological education of college students, guide them to a scientific
understanding of religions, help them establish correct beliefs, value system and views on life and world. An effort has been made to
caution against the religious forces infiltrating universities.
